Amity University Jharkhand celebrated the 71st Constitution Day

 Amity University Jharkhand celebrated the 71st Constitution Day and organized a webinar on re-engaging with the preamble of the Indian constitution in the present time.

The guest speaker was Dr. Rabindra Pathak, Convenor - Centre for Animal and Environmental Protection, Asst Prof & Member of Academic Council from National University of Study and Research in Law, Ranchi. The other dignitaries present were Prof. Dr. Raman Kumar Jha, Vice-Chancellor, Amity University Jharkhand, Dr. Ajit Kumar Pandey, Director, Amity University Jharkhand, and Mr. Prabhakar Tripathi, Registrar, Amity University Jharkhand.

Dr. Rabindra Pathak addressed the audience by saying, "Constitution Day is a reminder of both the past and the future. We celebrate this day to understand its importance to re-engage with the preamble and constitution in the present time."

Prof. Dr. Raman Kumar Jha enlightened the audience by saying, "We are celebrating 26th November as the Constitution Day, I think we as aware citizens of this nation must understand that this is the road on which we have to walk. If we go left or right, there will be clashes, there are bound to be interpretations that constitution is already understood." He later added, " I think, as Indians if there is any common denominator for the day, we can learn from it that we must understand our duties and rights at the same time."

Mr. Prabhakar Tripathi welcomed the audience and said, "When we think of constitution, it flashes two images in our mind, one is parliament and another is the judiciary, where we think that the term constitution echoes. But in fact, constitution echoes in our heart as well because it has accommodated all Indians with the feeling that it is a remedy for all of us."

The event was a huge success, as all the students from different departments of Amity University Jharkhand attended it with great enthusiasm and with the purpose to gain knowledge. The event ended with the vote of thanks by Dr. Shovona Choudhury, Asst. Professor, Amity University Jharkhand
