Seminar Series on “Sensor Characteristics and Adsorption kinetics of doped Indium Oxide to NOx gas ”

Amity School of Applied Sciences organized seminar series on “Sensor Characteristics and Adsorption kinetics of doped Indium Oxide to NOgas ” on 18th Nov 2020 by Dr. Chander Shekhar, Assistant Professor, Amity University Haryana. Total of 20 students from applied sciences participated in the seminar.

The Main objective of the seminar was student should understand gas sensors, their working, and adsorption.

Dr. Chander Shekhar, Assistant Professor, Amity University Haryana talked about gas sensors and their characteristics and working. He elaborated that tin oxide is the best material known for gas sensing because of its porosity and less toxic nature. He also explained the idea of nitrogen oxide adverse effects. Students learned about the Langmuir Adsorption isotherm, physisorption, and Chemisorption. Response time depends on the nature of the molecule. The seminar was very helpful and gave knowledge to the students.
