                    “Seminar on Potential of Research and Development: An IPR perspective
On the occasion of the World IPR Day, dated 26th April 2021 between 10:15AM to 11:10AM, Amity Institute of Pharmacy(AIP), Amity University Madhya Pradesh (AUMP) had organized a seminar on the topic ‘Potential of Research and Development: An IPR perspective’. The seminar was  coordinated by Dr. Ankit Kumar Yadav, Associate Professor andMrs. Monika Kaushik, Assistant Professor, AIP, AUMP. Opening Remarks of the session were given by Sir Lt. General V.K. Sharma AVSM, Honorable Vice ChancellorAUMP. The guest speaker of the seminar was Dr. Rahul Taneja working as Scientist at Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of Haryana, Panchkula.
Dr. Rahul Taneja has initiated the session by emphasizing on the role of IPR in research and development. Dr. Taneja provided the basic information about the protection of Intellectual Property Rights and protection of invention and innovation of research scholar’s, Doctors and Scientists. He had also discussed about the standard procedure for the filing of application for National Patents and International Patent (PCT), Trademarks, Designs and Copyrights. 
There were a total of 260 registrations for the event and out of which 187 participants attended the event. After the presentation by the guest speaker the question and answer session was conducted. The vote of thanks was given by the Dr. Ankit Kumar Yadav and Mrs. Monika Kaushik. The concluding remarks of the session were given by Sir Lt. General V.K. Sharma AVSM, Honorable Vice Chancellor and Sir Prof. Dr. M. P. Kaushik, Pro-Vice Chancellor, AUMP

The event was supported by Director AIP Dr. A.N. Nagappa and Deputy Director AIP Dr. S. Mohanalakshmi. The seminar on‘Potential of Research and Development: An IPR perspective’ was appreciated by all the participants.
