International Youth Day

 General Introduction of the Event

International Youth Day is an awareness day designated by the United Nations, celebrated on August 12. The purpose of the day is to draw attention to a given set of cultural and legal issues surrounding youth. The theme of International Youth Day 2019, “Transforming education”, highlights efforts to make education more inclusive and accessible for all youth, including efforts by youth themselves.

Ms Rajwant , Asstt Prof. , welcomed the participants, judges, the Principal and the audience. She elaborated about the issues pertaining to the youth.

After the welcome, the rules of skit were explained to all the four groups. The students presented their skit one by one within the given time limit.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Brief about the address/talk of speakers 

Prof. Dr. Tamil Selvi, HOI , ACON, in her address said that India is a nation of young people and highlighted the importance of accessible and inclusive education to all.  Four groups of students participated in the skit. The judges of the event were Dr. Kushagra Rajendra and Dr. Suniti Sood from ASEES and ASFA dept. respectively.

Each group was given 5-10 minutes to perform.

BSc Nursing students of first semester bagged the first (Farheen, Vineet, Shamiya, Sanjeev, Enna, Arihant) and second prize (Pankaj, Priya, Priyanka, Kumar Mangalam, Mayank, Khushboo).

At the end vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Smriti Arora.
