Amity College of Nursing students at Khushboo Welfare Society Gurugram
The Students of Amity College of Nursing visited Khushboo Welfare Society Sector- 10, Gurugram, a centre for children with multiple disabilities .They were greeted by Ms. Shashi, the Programme Officer and Mr. Vijay, the Director. The detailed orientation was given to students about the services provided by the society. Khushboo Welfare Society (Khushboo) was established on 13 November 1995 as a non profit organization under the Societies Act, 1860 to provide holistic care and multifarious services to people with mental and multiple disabilities.
The main aim of this society is to have a society where the physically and mentally challenged lead a life of care, dignity and respect. After the visit the students will be able to:
Manage special children with cerebral Palsy, Down syndrome, Autism and Mental Retardation.
Provide counseling and guidance to parents of special children
Provide therapeutic interventions to children with special needs like speech therapy, occupational therapy, sensory stimulation etc.
