Amity University and Rochester Institute of Technology, New York discuss the potential areas of Academic and Research collaboration
A delegation from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), New York, visited Amity University Noida to discuss the potential areas for academic and research collaboration. The delegation was led by Dr. James Myers, Associate Provost, International Education and Global Programs, Rochester Institute of Technology, and comprised of Dr. Shal Khazanchi, Associate Dean, Saunders College of Business, Dr. Matt Heunerfauth, Dean, Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences, Dr. Naveen Sharma, Dean, Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences, Dr. Edwin Torres, Department Chair, International Hospitality and Services Innovation and Dr. Todd Jokl, Dean, College of Arts and Design.
Dr. James Myers, Associate Provost, International Education and Global programs, Rochester Institute of Technology, averred, “It is an honour and privilege for us to visit Amity University, one of the most reputed institutions in the world. The achievements and accolades received by the University in such a short span of time are truly commendable. We take our collaborations very seriously and are delighted to begin a long-lasting association with Amity, resulting in exchange of knowledge and learning opportunities. Our research portfolio is very vast, and we would like to partner with Amity in the area of science, technology and research. Hospitality Sector is a booming sector in Dubai, and we would be happy to collaborate with Amity University Dubai, which will help in the advancement of tourism and hospitality industry. The other areas of collaboration which we are looking at is Business Management and Engineering.”
Prof (Dr) Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor Amity University Uttar Pradesh, said, “Amity strongly believes in partnering with renowned institutions of the world so that students can get international exposure and become future ready for working in any work environment across the globe. Rochester Institute of Technology is a highly prestigious institution and the visit of Dr. James Myers, along with his team, marks the beginning of a fruitful collaboration, which will result in meaningful outcomes and learnings.”
Presenting an overview of Amity Education Group, Dr. Gurinder Singh, Group Vice Chancellor, Amity Universities, stated, “We are extremely delighted to welcome the Delegation from RIT to Amity campus. Joint UG Programs, PhD Programs, Student Exchange Programs and Three Continent Programs are some of the ways in which we can collaborate with RIT. In addition, we will together identify the other key areas of collaboration and work towards the same.”
