Amity Alumni of the first batch of 1997 rejoice and reconnect during their Reunion after 27 years

It was an extremely joyous occasion as Amity University organized the Alumni Meet for Amity Business School Batch of 1997, the first batch of higher education institution, which brought together more than 40 Alumni from across the world. The illustrious batch comprised of great leaders, entrepreneurs, corporate honchos and educationists who have become highly successful in their career and continue to inspire many with their remarkable achievements. The Alumni visited the Amity campus after a period of 27 years and were overjoyed to meet their batchmates and cherish old memories.

 

Addressing the Alumni, Dr. Atul Chauhan, Chancellor, Amity University said, “Meeting the Alumni from the first batch of Amity is an extremely special and emotional moment for us, since this is the first batch of any Amity higher education institution. You all took a big leap of faith when you joined Amity, when the institution had just started its journey.  The first batch has been extremely fortunate to have been personally guided by Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President Amity Education Group and each one of you extremely close to his heart as he always prays for your success and well-being. He had envisioned Amity’s presence in each state of India and different parts of the world and his vision has been realized with Amity having campuses all across India and abroad. The governments of various countries have invited Amity to open its campus in their country and today Amity has its campuses across the world.”

 

 

Extending a warm welcome to the Amity Alumni, Dr. Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor, Amity University Uttar Pradesh stated, “I extend a very warm welcome to our Alumni of the first batch of 1997. We are extremely delighted to have you back on campus with us and relive old memories. You are the ones who have been instrumental in the growth of Amity since both you all and Amity have grown together by leaps and bounds.  Amity aims to make every student a success story and today we can proudly say that each one of our Alumni has achieved huge success in all their endeavors, making us immensely proud.”

 

 

Dr. Sanjeev Bansal, Additional Pro Vice Chancellor AUUP & Director - Amity Business School, said, “We are extremely delighted to have our special first batch of 1997 with us today. The joy and emotions which we are experiencing today cannot be expressed in words and all Amity Alumni are great visionaries who have contributed to Amity’s success along with their own success.”

 

Sharing his experience, Amity Alumnus Mr. Ritesh Jain, "Coming back to the campus today feels like we all are back to college, and it fills our heart with nostalgia. The times spent here with our friends are the most memorable days of my life, which I will always cherish. We organized the first College Fest and spent some great times with friends at Amity.”

 

Expressing her heartfelt gratitude to Amity, Ms. Aditi Chauhan, Amity Alumnus, said, “Apart from the great memories, we have received immense knowledge and learning from Amity. One such learning which has stayed with me all these years is that having a vision in life is extremely important, which I have learnt from Dr. Ashok K Chauhan, Founder President of Amity Education Group and I’m immensely grateful for his mentorship and guidance.”

 

 

Another Alumnus, Ms. Prerna, said, “I’m extremely grateful to Amity for shaping our career. Dr. Chauhan guided us personally at every step of our educational journey and also told us the art of writing unconventional resume in the form of a story, which was a unique style of writing resume, and it helped me in my professional journey.”

 

 

During their visit meet, the Alumni interacted with the students of various programmes and offered their advice and guidance to them. The Alumni took a round of Amity University campus and visited Central Library, Incubation Centre, high-tech laboratories. In addition, they also visited Sector-44 campus, from where the journey of Amity had started and took a round of the academic area, classrooms, seminar Hall, Computer Labs, MDP room, Library, and other areas.
