An Awareness Program by ACON. on October 10, 2024
Amity College of Nursing organised an awareness program on World Mental Health Day on October 10, 2024. The positive feedback from the audience and the reflections shared by faculty members underscored the importance of such initiatives in creating a supportive and informed community.
The aim was to raise awareness about mental health issues, particularly focusing on the myths and misconceptions surrounding mental illness. By engaging school students and the public in a dramatic and interactive format, the event sought to educate participants about the dangers of misinformation regarding mental health, highlight the exploitation of vulnerable individuals by false spiritual healers, and emphasize the importance of seeking proper medical treatment.
The Psycho Drama successfully fulfilled its objective of promoting mental health awareness among the attendees. The event fostered a deeper understanding of mental health issues, encouraging open discussions and reducing the stigma associated with seeking help. By addressing various myths and misconceptions about mental illness, the initiative empowered participants to challenge harmful stereotypes and advocate for informed and compassionate approaches to mental health care.
