Debate Competition on 2nd Virtual Parliamentary Debate Competition 2021

Amity Law School organised the 2nd Virtual Parliamentary Debate Competition, 2021 to provide a platform to the youth of Amity University Haryana to express their thoughts on the Motion- Reservation for Economically Weaker Section. 

The Event was conducted with an aim to encourage students to engage in creative thinking and inculcate their talents into public speaking. The Event further provided them with an insight to Parliamentary proceedings and importance of Parliamentary debate in a democratic society. 

A total of 32 teams registered for the Competition therefore, 16 Sessions were conducted. In the morning session, the Preliminary Round was conducted .The participants was very enthusiastic and vociferous in their views regarding the Motion and placed well researched and passionate arguments, both For and Against the Motion. 

Out of the 32 teams, 4 of them qualified for the Final Round. Maj. Gen. G S Bal and Prof. (Dr.) U N Singh, Dean - Faculty of Arts graced us with their presence during the Final Round and judged the final teams. 

The Adjudicators of the Competition congratulated the teams for their active participation and performances. The first position was bagged by TC-02(Opposition): (Harigopan, Parnika and Afreen) followed by TC-0 (Government) (Chirag Yadav, Yashika Manchanda and Arsh Dubey).
