Inter-University Recipe competition

An Inter-University recipe competition was organised on 4th September 2020 as a part of National Nutrition Month Celebration in the Department of Dietetics and Applied Nutrition in collaboration with Nestle India Private Limited. In total 22 students participated with full zeal and enthusiasm in the Recipe Competition. The Head of Institution, Mr. Rajesh Kumar Sinha appreciated all the participants. The students were directed to use Nestle Maggi and prepare healthy and innovative recipes. The judgement criteria for the event was presentation, innovation and nutritive value of the recipe. The first position was got by Tejaswi from Manav Rachna University, Faridabad. Shivangi kulbhaskar from Amity University Haryana secured second position. The student from government college for girls, Gurugram Chitra Bhardwaj bagged Third Position. The winners were virtually applauded for their superb performance. The winners were awarded with certificates and gift hampers by nestle. All students also got participation e-certificate from nestle.

The following guidelines were required to be followed by the Participants.

1.  All the registered participants will be added to Microsoft Teams using the email ID that has been mentioned in the registration form.

2.  The participants must ensure to be available on Microsoft Teams latest by 11:15 a.m. on 4th September 2020 i.e. Friday. The competition will start at 11:30 a.m.

3.  All participants must adhere to the theme of the competition.

4.  The competition will be held in online mode, therefore, the participants should ensure to keep the camera in a setting so that cooking of the recipe is visible to the Judges.

5.  The final judgement will be at 1:00 p.m. Hence, the total cooking time is 90 minutes (1.5 hours).

6.  The participants should also ensure to explain the recipe to the judges when asked.
Objectives of the Event:

The main objective of the event was to   give opportunity to students to show their culinary skills and prepare healthy recipeand to increase self motivation and confidence in students.
