Amity Institute of Clinical Psychology (AICP), Amity University Haryana, Gurgaon  organized  one day Virtual online programme by the name Role of Environmental Factors in Psychiatric Illnesses on World Environment Day 05^th May, 2020. Dr. Mustafa Nadeem Kirmani(Associate Professor), Dr. Mehfooz Ahmed(Assistant Professor) the faculties of AICP and M. Phil Clinical Psychology trainees participated in the program. Dr. Mehfooz Ahmed was the coordinator of the program. The environmental factors in relation to various psychiatrist aspect like mood disorder, schizophrenia, medical illnesses, anger, road traffic accidents and therapeutic sessions were discussed. The session also highlighted the coping strategies to deal with such factors by respective clients. Moreover, Dr, Mustafa Nadeem Kirmane shared his experience of attending Webinar by UN pertaining the implication of psychology in global scenario. The programme also highlighted the strategies for early identification and prevention of environmental stressors in the community. The current situation was discussed in the light of social psychological perspective. The prevention strategies like sensitization and psychoeducation were discussed. The programme emphasized the role of practical and service oriented aspects in community.
