Yog Saptah 5 days morning Yoga workshop

 On the occasion of International Yoga Day , Department of Yogvijnan Kavikulaguru Kalidas Sanskrit University, Ramtek Maharashtra in collaboration with Amity Centre for Sanskrit and Indic Studies, Amity School of Liberal Arts, Amity University Haryana organized workshop on Yog Saptah 5 days morning Yoga.

 

Day 1 of Workshop

 

In the opening ceremony, Dr Supriya Sanju started the event with introduction of workshop and a shloka of Sankaracharya’s Nirwanashtakam. After that Prof. Sanjay Kumar Jha, Director ASLA welcomed all the guest and participants. Dr. Kalapini Agasti, Head, Dept of Yogavijnan, Kavikulaguru Kalidas Sanskrit University, Ramtek Maharashtra briefly stated about the yoga workshop and Dept of Yogavijnan, Kavikulaguru Kalidas Sanskrit University, Ramtek Maharashtra. In the opening ceremony Prof. Shrinivasa Varakhedi Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of  Kavikulaguru Kalidas Sanskrit University, Ramtek Maharashtra was the special guest. In his talk,  Hon’ble VC Sir briefly stated about scientific importance of yoga. He emphasized that Yoga is a way to exercise our bodies, our breath, and our minds all at the same time. Yoga makes us feel great. Yoga is a very ancient science that helps us to develop flexibility and strength in our bodies, and happiness and peace in our mind. After his speech Mithilesh  Bhakare commenced the worskshop,. He briefly explained about sequence of 5 days workshop and started training with chanting of OM and Sukshma vyayama.

 

Day 2 to day 4 of Workshop -

Mithilesh Bhakare and Rashmi Jain taught participants how to perform the various stretching poses, practice meditation and promote mindfulness in addition to overall wellbeing. 

 

 Day 5 of Workshop –

On the fifth day of workshop, Rashmi Jain taught yoga and gave lessons in prayanam. After 45 minutes of workshop, valedictory session started which was hosted by Dr Shradhanvita Singh.

Prof. Padmakali Banarjee, Pro Vice Chancellor, Amity University Haryana addressed her talk on the art of practicing yoga which helps in controlling an individual’s mind, body and soul. It brings together physical and mental disciplines to achieve a peaceful body and mind; it helps manage stress and anxiety and keeps you relaxing. It also helps in increasing flexibility, muscle strength and body tone. It improves respiration, energy and vitality. Practicing yoga might seem like just stretching, but it can do much more for your body from the way you feel, look and move, she emphasized.

 Prof Madhusudan penna ,Dean, faculty of Indian Religion Philosophy and Culture, Kavikulaguru Kalidas Sanskrit University, Ramtek Maharashtra addressed the participants about shashtriy paksha of Yoga. and reilet yona and science.

Prof. Sanjay Kumar Jha, Director ASLA, Dr. Shiv Swarup Jha, AUH and Prof. Ranjeet Behra, Department of Sanskrit University of Delhi shared their experiences and views on yoga workshop.

 At the end, Dr. Kalapini Agasti, Head, Dept of Yogavijnan, Kavikulaguru Kalidas Sanskrit University, Ramtek Maharashtra  concluded the workshop by delivering vote of thanks.
