Amity Medical School organized 3 days webinar on “Championing Scholarly Communications - How can you Communicate your Research effectively between 5th – 7th August 2020 by Dr. Shanthi Krishnamoorthy, Autor Café President Author Café .
Webinar was basically conducted for the Ph.D. research scholars of AMS but the students and faculty belongs to variety of disciplines and institutes were joined and get benefited a lot by listening to expert speakers. A session of question and answer was also arranged in which participants asked their questions and were clarified wonderfully by the speakers. The vote of thanks was given by Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Kumar Sinha on behalf of AMS to the guest speakers and a big thanks to Authorcafe for their collaboration in this event.
- The Main Objective of the event is to create an open platform to understand the process and mechanism of scholarly communications.
- To update research scholars the different ways of communication to their research outcomes effectively.
- To create future connections with industry professional to get assistant in research writing, publication and its dissemination globally.
· In the opening remark, Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh K Sinha explained the important of quality of research, its output and value of ethics in the publication with special reference to avoid plagiarism and malpractice during the research and its publication.
· Dr. Shanthi Krishnamoorthy highlighted some of the main points of TNQ and role of author café in research and its publication. She also explained the growth of Indian in quantity and Quality of Research and publication and knowledge Management Platform for Academic Content.
· Dr. Krishna explained wonderfully about the process of writing, submission and successful publication. He explained various tips and tricks for writing the research manuscript and published it effectively.
On 2nd Day (6th August 2020) Webinar
· Ms. Geetha explained the Manuscript editing and publisher expectation. Her lecture was full of knowledge from the basic to latest update.
· Mr. Neelanjan explained the how author café helps researchers in addressing the challenges of scholarly communication. He also explained the use of digital tools to champion scholarly communications with examples.
On 3rd Day (7th August 2020) Webinar….
· Dr. Mrigya explained in very simple and effective way of planning, writing and communicating research effectively with the latest tool and techniques. Speakers lecture was full of knowledge from the basic to latest update from the writing to publishing and disseminating of research and guidance to participants of standard tools from writing to tracing of research for good research outcomes.
Itwas very amazing interactions and wonderful talk with guidance and updates on research communication by expert speakers of reputed organizations.
