Restoring Eco-Resilience through Tree Plantation at Amity University Gurugram

Amity School of Architecture and Planning organized a tree plantation drive with the help of Haryana Forest Department and Ami-Green Club (Eco-Preservation club of Amity University Gurugram) at Amity University Gurugram.

The objective of the drive was to sensitize students, faculty and staff to the significance of tree plantation and joining hands to save our ‘Common Future’ by planting trees and bringing life back to our environment. 550 saplings of Native species including Neem, Peepal, Bargad, Jamun, Shisham, BaelPathar etc were planted.

The event evidenced a huge participation by the Students, Faculty and staff. Maj Gen (Retd.) B S Suhag(Deputy Vice-Chancellor), Prof (Dr.) Padmakali Banerjee(Pro Vice Chancellor), Dr. Ila Gupta( Director, Amity School of Architecture and Planning) were prominent by their presence and felicitated the Forest Range officer and commended him for his efforts.
