The Legal Aid Cell of Amity Law School organised a Guest Lecture on "Practical Aspects of Arbitration, Conciliation and Mediation" at Amity University Haryana. The Lecture was delivered by Mr. Ashim Sood, Advocate, Supreme Court of India.

 
Mr. Sood while addressing the gathering of more than 300 students and Members of Faculty, began with highlighting the fact that Judges and Courts are being burdened with vast number of cases  & thus the need for an Alternative Dispute Resolution mechanism became essential.He also stated that since people are afraid to approach the Courts due to procedural lacunae and financial constraints, ADR has played a key role on numerous occasions.
 

While discussing the subject, he addressed a lot of questions from the audience. On a query addressed to him, Mr. Sood answered that Negotiation is a process of reaching on an Agreement by all the parties and the process could sometimes be time taking. He also explained the process of Enforcement of Arbitration Award, both Domestic and International, while responding to one of the queries.
