Amity Institute of Biotechnology organized a guest lecture on “Fungal Human pathogens: from obscure significance to impending disaster” at Amity University Gurugram. The lecture was delivered by Dr Anuradha Chowdhary, Professor, Vallabhbhai Patel Chest Institute, University Of Delhi and was attended by students and faculty of AIB. The main aim of the lecture was to impart knowledge about new updates/research in the field of mycology.

During her lecture, Dr Chowdhary talked about the research interest which include molecular ecology and population genetics of pathogenic fungi, antifungal drug resistance mechanisms, especially Aspergillus and Candida spp, and the epidemiology of systemic mycoses.
