Awareness program on mental health issues: It’s ok not to be ok: A little act of kindness goes a long way

Amity Institute of Behavioral and allied sciences organized awareness program on mental health issues on 9th October 2020. 

The main objective of the program is to increased investment in mental health. The theme of the event, Its Ok Not To Be Ok: A Little Act Of Kindness Goes A Long Way is an attempt to highlight some of the mental health issues and conditions in the form of role plays, poetry, Experience sharing  videos and instagram live videos for creating awareness.  

Dr. Padmakali Baneerje, Hon'ble Pro- Vice Chancellor, Amity university Haryana asked students to be the champion of change, create a difference in the life of people around you, society and the nation. There are lots of need for providing psychological and psychosocial support to the people, specifically during this Covid19 pandemic period". 

More than 200 students and 9 faculties from Behavioral and allied sciences participated in the event. 

As every individual has suffered their share of lows in this lockdown period, this event was a gentle reminder that it is normal to feel low at times and our near and dear ones do have the ability to make us feel better by their little act of kindness.
