A society outreach program "Ghar Ghar Tulsi: Tree Plantation” was organised by ASLA on 12th August 2026. Through the planting and distribution of Tulsi saplings, participants gained a greater understanding of its medicinal, ecological and cultural significance and the importance of maintaining green spaces and biodiversity.

The aim of the “Ghar Ghar Tulsi: Tree Plantation” initiative was to promote environmental sustainability and awareness among students and the university community by encouraging the plantation and cultivation of Tulsi. The initiative aimed to highlight the medicinal, ecological and cultural significance of the plant, encourage biodiversity conservation and sustainable lifestyle practices, and foster a sense of environmental responsibility and community participation towards creating a greener and healthier environment.

The “Ghar Ghar Tulsi: Tree Plantation” initiative successfully promoted environmental awareness and encouraged active participation in plantation and conservation activities.The initiative fostered environmental stewardship, teamwork and civic responsibility among students, while encouraging them to adopt sustainable and eco-friendly practices in their daily lives. Overall, the event reinforced the institution’s commitment to environmental conservation and contributed towards the objectives of Sustainable Development Goal 15 (Life on Land).
