Tourism Essay Writing Competition by ASH on 21st February 2025.
A Tourism Essay Writing Competition was organised by Amity School of Hospitality on 21st Febraury 2025. Participants explored diverse perspectives, including eco-tourism's role in conservation, the importance of local community involvement, and the challenges of balancing economic growth with environmental protection.
The competition aimed to raise awareness about the significance of sustainability in the tourism sector while encouraging students to think critically about the role of tourism in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It provided a platform for students to express their ideas and propose creative solutions on how tourism could promote sustainable practices.
The competition successfully engaged students in meaningful discussions on sustainability and tourism. Participants showcased their understanding through well-researched essays that analyzed key issues, proposed innovative solutions, and highlighted the interconnectedness of global challenges like climate change, poverty, and inequality with the tourism industry. The event also deepened students’ appreciation of the collaborative efforts required among governments, businesses, and local communities to implement sustainable tourism practices.
