The guest lecture on “Understanding New Criminal Laws: An In-Depth Analysis of BNS, BNSS, BSA”, organized by Amity Law School, Amity University Haryana, aimed to equip students with a thorough understanding of the newly enacted criminal laws in India. With the guidance of legal expert Shri S.K. Jha, the session sought to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, fostering critical discussions on the implications of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA).
The lecture successfully provided an in-depth analysis of the transformative changes in India’s criminal justice system, replacing colonial-era laws with more contemporary and indigenous legal frameworks. Shri S.K. Jha engaged the students in thought-provoking discussions, emphasizing the significance of procedural and substantive modifications in the new legal provisions.
