A Conference on “Equity and Empowerment: Women Workers in Urban Informal Sector” was organised by ABS on 24^th January 2025. By drawing insights from successful models like the National Urban Livelihoods Mission, the seminar aimed to explore tailored interventions that enhance women's economic participation and overall well-being.

The seminar on "Empowering Women Workers for Viksit Bharat@2047" aimed to highlight the pivotal role of women in the informal economy and their contribution to India's vision of becoming an inclusive and equitable nation by 2047. The event sought to foster discussions on empowering women through skill development, social protection, and inclusive policies.

The seminar successfully brought attention to the essential role of women in driving economic and social progress. Through insightful discussions, it reinforced the importance of gender equity, financial inclusion, and capacity-building initiatives to support women workers, particularly in the informal sector.
