Amity University Haryana (AUH) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in July 2022 with the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Ministry of Earth Sciences, to advance research in Earth and Environmental Sciences. This partnership will drive joint research projects, field studies, capacity building, and consultancy, while leveraging technologies like AI and geospatial tools.
Prof. P B Sharma, Vice Chancellor of AUH, highlighted the MoU’s role in fostering academia-industry-government collaboration, benefiting both students and faculty. Dr. SD Attri, Scientist G at IMD, noted opportunities for students in Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, including research visits to Polar Regions and new certificate courses.
Dr. VK Soni from IMD praised past AUH collaborations and looked forward to expanding future projects. Esteemed AUH and IMD leaders attended the event, which was streamed live, showcasing AUH’s commitment to impactful, global research.
