Amity Medical School, Amity University Haryana organized a “Cook Without Fire Recipe Competition” on 19th April 2022. Judges from Department of Hotel Management and Catering Technology were invited as judges in this competition. They are expert in culinary art and they gave their advice and suggestions to the participants in order to improve their recipes. Mr Vinod and Md Soyav , Assistant Professor, Amity University Haryana.
The event was headed by Dr Luxita Sharma, Head of Department of Dietetics and Applied Nutrition, Amity Medical School along with Faculty members, Dr Deepika Dhawan and Ms Deepika Pal. The theme of the competition was “Colourful food Plate”, students displayed amazing and innovate skills by preparing a number of recipes. Ten teams with two students each from B.Sc. and M.Sc. DAN participated in the event. The Competition was won by Shivani & Samiya (MDAN II Sem) sharing the position with Riya & Sanjana (BDAN IV Sem), followed by Tanya & Siddhartha (BDAN II Sem), as the first runner-up. The second runner-up were Sargam & Janhvi (BDAN II).
In the, Dr Luxita Sharma (Head, Amity Medical school), Shared her views about the event and motivated the students to continue participating in such kinds of events. Inspiration & Objectives of the Event- The objective of the student was to make the colourful recipes without using fire.
