Amity University Haryana felicitated 1200 meritorious girls students in Delhi, Gurugram, Faridabad, Hisar, Rohtak, Bhiwadi.
Objective of this ceremony was to give encouragement to students to perform better in life ahead.
Dr Padmakali Banerjee , Pro-Vice Chancellor & Dean Academics, Amity University Gurugram congratulated the meritorious girl students and specified on the importance of having right skills and attitude to achieve success. She also stressed on the importance of time while being into college and engages in meaningful activities. She emphasized that course should be first priority than college as era is of skilling, the better skilled you are, the more employable you will be, She Added. She also cited example of global thinking thru study abroad programs.
Mr. Sachin Juneja, Director- Market Promotions delivered presentation on Amity University Gurugram – Highlighting How Amity is preparing for them for next decade- skills required for it and USP like Choice Based credit system, Military training program, Study abroad, Incubator etc.
Dr Vikas Madhukar, Dy Director – ABS and Director- Admissions gave presentation on Industry 4.0 where he highlighted on the emerging sectors and career opportunities available in it. He also emphasized on the skills required to grow in the career. He also cited example of Study Abroad Program, How it shapes up the global mindset of student.
Experts from Various domains like, Management, Psychology , Engineering, Applied Sciences had shared their words of wisdom with students and guided them for future challenges.
- Dr Rishipal, HOD, Psychology spoken on preparing for Life, He specified marks are on one side and life struggles are another aspect, He took numerous examples from Sachin Tendulkar to Baba Ramdev and Many others highlighting the fact that overall development and thought process development is a critical aspect in your college life.
- Dr Deependra Sharma, Professor, ABS gave presentation on Careers in Management and linked it to the Industry requirement. He provided a clarity on the management aspect of any job which is mandatory for any person to have to be successful. He cited numerous examples from Industry whereby opting management courses, One can have so many diversed field to enter. He also emphasized on the skills required to grow in the career.
- Dr Anil Yadav, Associate Professor, ASET gave presentation on Emerging Career in Engineering & Applied Sciences. He beautifully linked the real case studies like Flyover, Machines and the different aspect of engineering where if one has passion to do so, Can excel in his field. He also gave good clarity on difference in Engineering vs Applied Sciences. He explained in details about emerging career options of Computer Science like AI, IOT, Cyber Security, Robotics to name a few and career aspect in it.
- Dr Anil Kumar Yadav, Director – ASAS delivered his talk on Emerging Career in Applied Sciences. He differentiates the career aspect of Applied Sciences and Engineering. He also emphasized on the level of research which can be done thru applied sciences which is the basic of any engineering.
- Ms. Esha Jainiti, Dy Director- ASCO. She highlighted on the emerging sectors and career opportunities in Humanaties and Commerce. She emphasized on acquiring right attitude and interest. He also emphasized on the skills required to grow in the career.
Apart from it companies CEO’s, Vice Presidents, School Principals and Chairman were invited to give industry exposure to the students. Ms Divya Lal, CEO- Ebix Technologies Pvt Ltd spoken on building inner strength and competencies to build a successful career.
Mr. Neeraj, Vice President, Fiem Industries, Bhiwadi – spoke on Skills required to get employed. He also thanked Amity for contribution in his career as he is an alumnus of Amity. He specified that Certifications do add value to Student’s CV and they must do something to get an value edge in an interview.
Mr. Anshul Pathania (Chairman, Pathania Public School, Rohtak) delivered Vote of Thanks and appreciated the efforts that Amity has made to recognize the scholars. He also pinpointed the fact that Amity is far above than any private institution when it comes academic excellence and infrastructure support provided to realize one’s dreams.
