  This webinar provided education about much needed general preparations that will be required to bring various Indian work sectors back to normal in post covid-19 period.

    Mr. Rishabh Tandon - Area Director, Human Resources (North India) Inter Continental Hotels Group talks about the recovery strategy and working out how they can adjust their business to fit with the new normal. One of the most unprecedented things they have witnessed during this time is the total diminishment of clearly defined roles of hotel employees. For example, in revenue management, everyone usually has a very specific defined role. But right now, everybody is just brainstorming and putting their minds together to try to work out what creative ways they can find out to bring back their customer’s confidence.

Secondly, Consumer confidence in hotel’s health and safety measures is probably the main factor when it comes to people making the decision of whether to stay in a particular hotel property or not.

Safety Measures Taken by Hotel Industries by the end of june 2020, most hotel properties will be operating again, and therefore the most essential common practices have to be designed & executed with immediate effect. For example, there will definitely be a temperature check for all the hotel guests and staff, with restrictions in place if somebody is found to have a high temperature.

The hotels are planning to remove all the prepaid products and are going to offer full flexibility up to 24 hours before arrival for free cancellation. They are also planning to proactively contact every customer within 24 hours of the booking to explain the new health and safety protocols that are in place now, He explained.The students learnt about the key insights, core concepts and essential skills which will definitely be required in bringing the "New Normal in Hospitality Industry” in post covid-19 period.
