Panel Discussion on Women in Leadership: Achieving an equal future in COVID- 19 world
Amity Institute of Behavioral and Allied Sciences organized panel discussion on International Women’s Day.
The main objective of the event was to marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. Significant activity is witnessed worldwide as groups come together to celebrate women's achievements or rally for women's equality.
Total 215 students and all the faculties of Behavioural science and clinical psychology were participants as well as panelists of the panel discussion.
The discussion included addressing the issue of gender gap between leadership opportunities in our society and discussed about how women's contributions are often overlooked easily. Then the discussion was followed by another concern about the difference between leadership styles of men and women and why women can be the better leaders than men.
The discussion also focused on women's immense contribution as social supporters during COVID 19. A male panelist reflected his opinions upon the challenges which women had to face during pandemic times. Another panelist discussed that how women leaders can bring better changes in society. It was followed by throwing light on numerous barriers which women have to face for becoming a leader. The future of women as leaders along with certain examples, quotations and solutions was also discussed by one of the panelists.
