Amity Institute of Pharmacy organized guest lecture on Molecular Basis of Understanding Cancer by Dr Deepak Kumar, Meharry Medical College School of Medicine, USA, Director & Professor Julious.L. Chamber BBRI and Dr Anil Shanker, North Carolina Central University, Professor of Biochemistry Cancer, Biology , Neuro Science and Pharmacology.

The main objective of the event is to impart knowledge of the molecular machinery involved in cancer and role of immunity.

Dr. Deepak Kumar talked about the molecular mechanism of the cancer and how the molecular markers are responsible for the prognosis of cancer. Dr. Shanker talked about how to understand the molecular basis of functional crosstalk between the innate and adaptive lymphocytes, with a particular focus on preventing immune escape of solid tumors.
