Millet in your Skillet Competition Organised by Department of Dietetics and Applied Nutrition

On 18th October 2022, the Department of Dietetics and Applied Nutrition, Amity Medical School, AUH, organised a competition on the theme- ‘Millets in your Skillet’. The event was headed by Dr. Luxita Sharma, Head of the Department of Dietetics and Applied Nutrition, Amity Medical School along with Faculty members, Dr Renu Shrestha and Ms Deepika Pal. A total of 18 students participated in this competition. The participant’s goal was to prepare vibrant recipes without the use of fire 

The competition had six teams from the B.Sc. and M.Sc. DAN, each with three students. They cooked a variety of dishes, including Ragi Malt, Pearl Paniyaran, Mijo Perla la Pizza, Mini South Indian Platter, and many more. The winners of the contest were Samiya, Divya, and Kunika (MDAN III Sem). The first runner-up was Komal Beniwal, Bhavika, and Vaishnavi (MDAN III Sem). Rajashree, Anchal, and Meenu (MDAN III Sem) came in as the second runner-up.

Dr. Luxita gave her thoughts on the event before it came to a close and encouraged the students to keep taking part in activities of this nature. By making a variety of recipes, students demonstrated exceptional and creative skills. By employing their skills, the students gained knowledge about cooking various recipes.
