On 23rd of August 2022, Amity School of Communications organized a workshop on “Visual Storytelling and Evolution
of Cameras”, with Distinguised guest Mr. Sameer Ashraf, Manager, Sony India at Amity University Haryana.
His portfolio has grown over the years from his beginnings as an artist to now encompass photography, multimedia,
and direction. He has worked for MTV IGGY, Associated Media, the International Tribune, Mcline Films, Nat Geo, and
the Discovery channel, among other organisations. As a mentor, public speaker, and visual communicator, Sameer is
now employed by Sony.
Dr. Amit Chawla, an ASCO professor, planned the event and saw to it that it was a resounding achievement. The event
was participated and experienced by around 70 students and faculty members.
The renowned speaker discussed the following themes in this workshop: kinds of cameras; various characteristics of
cameras that may be employed in a range of settings; and visual story telling through images, where he stated the
things to take into consideration while doing so. The occasion provided the students with a chance to reflect and
toward achieving their own objectives.
