Awareness Program by AIBAS on 10 October 2024
AIBAS organised an Awareness Programme & Student Activity on Mental Health on 10 October 2024. This initiative not only expanded their knowledge of mental health challenges within higher education but also empowered them to apply what they learned in a practical setting, thus contributing to their overall academic and professional grooming.
The aim was to provide students with a practical learning experience focused on mental health issues prevalent among teaching and non-teaching staff in higher education. Through engaging in small-scale research projects, students could deepen their understanding of the factors that contribute to challenges such as stress and burnout within various employee groups in academia.
In conclusion, the workshop successfully created an enriching environment where AIBAS students could develop essential 21st-century skills, not only in research but also in event management. By volunteering to host, photograph, and document the event, students gained valuable exposure to teamwork, leadership, and communication—key competencies for their future careers
