Amity College of Nursing organised Online Breast Feeding Week Celebration 2021.Exclusive breast feeding for six months is essential for a healthy new-born, mother and society. World breast feeding week is an annual celebration which is being held every year in the first week of August by UNICEF, WHO and other partners. Nurses play an important role in teaching mothers about various aspects of peri-natal care as well as essential new-born care .World Breastfeeding Week is celebrated every year from 1st to 7th August to encourage breastfeeding and improve the health of babies around the world. Many organizations like WHO, UNICEF works to protect, promote and support breastfeeding. So on this 2^nd August 2021 Amity College of nursing, Amity University is going to organize online competition to “Celebrate “BREAST FEEDING WEEK.”. For celebrating this week students will be encourage to participate in different activities like:

a.      Inspiration & Objectives of the Event: This event was organised with an objective to encourage the student nurses to gain comprehensive knowledge regarding breastfeeding, its technique and benefits , so that they can prove instrumental for spreading awareness among the mothers and further in reduction of the infant mortality and morbidity rate .
