Amity Institute of Clinical Psychology (AICP), Amity University Haryana, Gurgaon  organized one day Mental Health promotional program  on 04^th Feburary 2020 at MCG, Gurgaon.  Dr. Mustafa Nadeem Kirmani, Dr. Mehfooz Ahmed, the faculties of AICP and Dr. Braham Deep Sindhu, CMO, MCG, Gurugram, M. Phil Clinical Psychology trainees, social worker  and the community members participated in the program. Dr. Mehfooz Ahmed was the coordinator of the program. The programme sensitized the participants about the symptoms, causes, prevalence and the treatment of Cancer disease in different strata of society. The programme also highlighted the strategies for early identification and prevention of illness in the community. There is need to minimize the havoc created in the society about cancer disease. If the patient has adequate social support, financial support, positive attitude and the proper treatment then the recovery from the illness is not impossible. The coping mechanism adopted by the individuals adopted who have recovered from cancer were discussed. E.g. Yuvraj Singh, Rishi Kapoor, Manisha Koirala and Yashvant Sinha. The programme emphasized the role of practical and service oriented aspects in community.
