    I have specialized in Modern Indian History and has research interests in Gender Relations in Partition of India, Partition literature and concepts of Nationalism. My teaching and general research involves Indian Legal History and European History along with contemporary literature on Partition of India. Before joining Amity University, Noida, I was a Research Scholar in Jamia Millia Islamia University and visiting faculty at Amity University. My thesis in M.Phil was on the topic ‘How Nationalism and Nations are Imagined in a Gendered Way in Contemporary Literature on The Partition of India’. I qualified the UGC NET JRF in the year 2009. I have completed Master of Arts (M.A), in History from Delhi University, Lady Shri Ram College, New Delhi. I specialized in Modern Indian History. I was ranked 1st in Modern Indian History, M.A. (Final) Examination, South Campus, Delhi University, 2008-09. I was also ranked 1st in the M.A. (Previous) Examination, South Campus, Delhi University
