Amity School of Liberal Arts Organised Jugalbandi: A Celebration of Indian Culture on 24th January 2020

Amity Centre of Performing Arts, ASLA in collaboration with Amity School of Fine Arts and Amity Institute of Design organized a cultural extravaganza, Jugalbandi, to commemorate the 71st Republic Day of India. The event began with the ceremonial lamp-lighting, followed by the Welcome Address by Prof. Sanjay Kumar Jha, Director, ASLA. A Kathak Dance performance on Shiv Vandana. The second performance was a fusion of different classical dances on the theme of Vande Mataram.

This was followed by a lecture by the representatives from Brahma Kumaris Om Shaanti Retreat Centre. They delivered a talk on the “Design Your Destiny” programme. The students of the Amity Institute of Design showcased creative traditional costumes in a breathtaking Fashion Show.

A dance performance based titled Malhar was performed, followed by a group dance. The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Prof. Kiran Devendra, Head of the Department, History, ASLA.
