Department of Optometry& Vision Science Amity Medical School, Amity University Gurgaon Conducted Two days conference of optometry & Vision Science and inter college competitions. More than 550 delegates from 18 different colleges all over the India participated in this conference.

Following Inaugural, The plenary session on Community Eye Care started with the informative talk by Dr. Kamal Pant, Dr. Pravin Vasisht, Dr Sumit Grover and Mr Rakesh V Kaushal.
The second plenary session was on Research and innovation and was taken by Dr. Kamal Pant, Dr Joydeep Dutta and Dr Debarun Dutta.
Technical Session of Computer Based Vision Therapy in Amblyopia, Enhancing distance vision for the visually impaired and low vision and ocular prosthesis workshop was conducted in parallel.
A plenary session was also organised on the role of electrodiagnostic in optometry, interpretation of visual fields, implantable telescope, case discussion on low vison, understanding wave front aberration of the eye, myopia: a result of circardiandysregulation ?, Blue cut lens, Progressive Addition Lens, UV protection Technology and dispensing by Mr. M.P Naidu, MsShenbagam N, Mr.Sanjay Mishra, Mr. Sunil Dixit, Dr Atanu Ghosh, Dr Ranjay Chakraborty, Dr Ranadeb Banerjee, Mr Bhupesh Chanana, Ms Ruchika Yadav and Ms Nancy Gupta respectively.
On Day 2 of AMI I CON III, Mr. Adrian Bell BAppSc (QUT), FCOVD, FACBO Past President of ACBO Optometrist at Colundra Vision Optometrists, Queensland, Australia,gave a web lecture on Behavioural Optometry in Action : Improving your child examination followed by Refraction in Binocular Vision : Clinical tips and Pearls by Dr. Jameel Rizwana H, Optical Management of strabismus by Mr Prem Kumar Singh and Recent management of amblyopia by MrMantu Akon.
The next plenary session was carried on by Dr Dharani Ramamurthy on Importance of Myopia prevention and control in children, MrGugannathan on vision therapy for special population and active vision therapy work shop by MrGugannathan, MrMashiuzzaman and Mr Samrat Sarkar along with a parallel session of Boston Scleral Contact lens workshop by Mr. D Srikanth.A key talk was delivered by Dr Ashish Lall on the interpretation of OCT.
Dr Kamal B Kapoor, Mr Rajesh Kumar, Dr. Hitendra Ahooja, Mr.Gaurav Kumar Bhardwaj,MrAbhilekhAneja, Ms Sheeba Qumar and MrAkshay Saluja gave their insight upon the current trends in cataract and refractive surgery, Latest innovation of dry eye management, interpretation of corneal topography, Strategies of designing Antimicrobial Contact Lens and Lens cases ,latest innovation in contact lens, tailoring design of keratoconus, silicone hydrogel contact lenses and Scleral contact lens: an overview respectively.
The session was close with the price distribution and the appreciation of the participants and the team work of the faculties and students.
