Amity University celebrates 78th Independence Day with great enthusiasm Mesmerizing cultural performances by students enthrall the audience

Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Noida campus celebrated 78th Independence Day with great enthusiasm. The celebrations commenced with the Flag Hoisting Ceremony conducted by Dr. Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Dr. Gurinder Singh, Group Vice Chancellor, Amity Universities and the Head Of Institutions of Amity, which was followed by the National Anthem.

Sharing his visionary thoughts and words of wisdom, Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President, Amity Education Group, averred, “Today as India celebrates 78th Independence Day, every citizen of the country must not only be proud and remember the freedom struggle but also think about making about their individual contribution to the development of the country. Today, India is making a huge progress in every field, science, technology, research, innovation, agriculture and others, we are certain that no power in the world can stop India from becoming a Global Superpower by 2047. It is the youth of the country who will be the future global leaders and Amity is making its students future ready so that they can make their country proud.”

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancelor, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, said, “The youth of the country can transform the world through innovation and creativity, and they will have a huge role to play in Viksit Bharat@2047. At Amity, Space Science & Technology, Quantum technology, Agriculture & Artificial Intelligence, are of utmost importance. Today, on the momentous occasion of India’s 78th Independence Day, we must pledge to become a beacon of hope and build a strong and resilient nation through our collective efforts.”

Dr. Gurinder Singh, Group Vice Chancellor Amity Universities said, “ We must remember the sacrifice of our freedom fighters and how bravely they fought for the independence of the country. Today, the world is looking at India and under the visionary leadership of our Prime Minister, our country has become the fifth largest economy of the world. Global exposure is highly crucial for the students and bearing testimony to the philosophy of ‘Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam’, Amity offers various Programmes for its students and has collaborated with many international universities. Amitians will shine brightly in the world and pave the way for a brighter future.”

The students of Amity presented various patriotic songs and dance performances on the during the Independence Day celebrations, depicting the unique cultural ethos of India. Also present on the occasion were Dr. D.K Bandopadhyay, Chairman Amity Law School, Dr. Sanjeev Bansal, Additional Pro Vice Chancellor, Amity University Noida, Head of Institutions, faculty, and students of Amity in huge numbers. In addition, on the occasion of 14th August celebrated as ‘Partition Horrors Remembrance Day’, Film Screening of “Train to Pakistan” was also held at Amity University for the students.
