As part of the Deeksharambh 2026 initiative, an industrial visit to SKH Metals, IMT Manesar, was organized on 17 September 2026 for B.Tech. Mechanical Engineering first-semester students to provide practical exposure to the industrial environment and bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world applications.
The visit aimed to familiarize students with automotive component manufacturing, sheet-metal processing, pressing, forming, welding, machining, and fabrication operations. It also sought to enhance their understanding of tooling, production equipment, quality control, inspection procedures, industrial safety, production planning, and material handling practices.
The industrial visit to SKH Metals successfully provided first-semester students with valuable exposure to automotive component manufacturing and industrial production practices. It enhanced their understanding of sheet-metal processing, manufacturing equipment, quality inspection, and process control while highlighting the importance of workplace safety and efficient material handling. The visit helped students connect classroom concepts with practical industrial applications and strengthened their foundational understanding of mechanical engineering processes and manufacturing operations.
