The Amity College of Nursing organized the event “Innovative Hemodialysis Model: Understanding the Dialysis Process” as part of Innovation Day to enhance students’ understanding of the principles and procedures involved in hemodialysis through an innovative, model-based learning approach.
The event aimed to demonstrate the functioning of a hemodialysis system, strengthen students’ conceptual and clinical understanding of dialysis, and promote experiential learning in nursing education.
The event successfully enhanced students’ understanding of the hemodialysis process through a practical and visual demonstration of the dialysis model. It familiarized participants with the major components of the dialysis system, its functioning, and its clinical relevance. The activity also strengthened conceptual learning and highlighted the importance of innovative, hands-on teaching approaches in developing nursing students’ clinical knowledge and competencies.
