The Corporate Resource Centre, in association with the Amity Institute of Biotechnology, organized an industrial visit to NextGen In-Vitro Diagnostics Pvt. Ltd. (NGIVD), IMT Manesar, Haryana, to provide B.Tech, M.Sc. and M.Tech Biotechnology students with practical exposure to the functioning of an in-vitro diagnostics manufacturing unit.
The visit aimed to familiarize students with diagnostic product development and manufacturing processes, including reagent formulation, controlled-environment production, filling and packaging, quality control testing, documentation, and regulatory compliance. It also sought to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and industrial practices in the medical device and diagnostics sector.
The industrial visit provided students with valuable insights into the operations of NGIVD and its diagnostic product portfolio. Coordinated by Mr. Shiv and the NGIVD team, the visit familiarized participants with production, quality control, and packaging processes, as well as the importance of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), ISO 13485 documentation, and controlled manufacturing environments. The experience enhanced students’ understanding of industrial quality systems, diagnostic product manufacturing, and regulatory requirements, helping them connect their academic knowledge with practical applications in the biotechnology and in-vitro diagnostics industries.
