The objective of the Project is to develop Image processing algorithms using computer vision for automatic segmentation, analysis and watermarking of medical images which will aid Tele-Ophthalmology applications. The overall objectives are given below:
Develop computer aided system & software for automatic segmentation and analysis of Medical fundus images including retina, optic disc and macula.
Develop software for automatic Identification of the Retinal image if it has signs of Diabetic Retinopathy. (Diabetic retinopathy is a serious disease causing incurable blindness).
Develop Software for automatic Identification of the Retinal Image if it has the signs of Glaucoma. (Glaucoma is a serious disease causing incurable blindness).
Develop Software for implementing Digital watermarking for Inserting basic patient information in the Medical Images without loss of Medical Information for secure transmission and storage of medical images.
