It is my pleasure and honour to welcome you to the Department of Automobile Engineering at Amity Institute of Technology, Amity University, Uttar Pradesh.The Department of Automobile Engineering was established in 2016 to prepare well qualified industry ready engineers in the field of Automobile Engineering. The Department has a team of highly qualified, experienced and dedicated faculty members in diversified streams to cater for all-round development of students.
Indian automotive industry is growing at a very fast rate with newer designs of automobiles and change in technologies. The job market for qualified automobile engineers is also ever increasing.Most of the major Automobile manufacturers have established their production units/assembly units in India.
In association with Tata Technologies, we have set up 6 state-of-the-arts, competency centres namelyTechnology Centre, Innovation Centre, Learning Centre, Virtual Reality Centre, TearDownBench Marking Centre and Advance Manufacturing Centre. I am proud to share that the curriculum of B Tech (Automobile Engineering) programme, offered by the Department, has been designed and developed by industry experts of Tata Technologies to meet industry requirement and with global outlook. Courses on latest technologies including Electrical Vehicles, Advance Driver Assist System (ADAS), Connected cars and IOTetc have been included in the curriculum.
We have a practical hands-on project-based teaching, learning approach to reinforce theoretical concepts. Our students have won acclaim for their technically challenging innovative design projects at national and international competitions. We, at Amity, provide four tier mentoring system of our students for their holistic development. We have industry mentor assigned to every student, who shares his / her expertise, experience and knowledge with students.
We have a robust industry –academia collaboration programs. Our students have undertaken live industry projects during their Mini Project / Internships. This is mutually beneficial relationship which has benefitted the industry, and students in turn have gained immense practical knowledge. We have SAE Collegiate Club and regularly organise industry visits, seminars, workshops and guest lectures by Industry / academia experts to strengthen the fundamentals of our students and give them exposure and feel of actual industry environment.
Our students are doing extremely well and we expect our students will be placed in top companies of Automobile sector. Additionally, we offer various overseas exchange programmes to further the global outreach of our students.
As a part of holistic personality development our students are regularly participating and winning in co-curricular and extra-curricular events at national/ international level.
