Earth Day

A special assembly was organised on April 22, 2016 to celebrate Earth Day. Students presented a brief history of Earth Day, a short skit and dance. The assembly culminated with school Principal encouraging students to inculcate habits that will help in conserving the environment and protecting our Mother Earth.

Raksha Bandhan

A special assembly was organised to celebrate Raksha Bandhan on August 17, 2016. The assembly commenced with a prayer and Sanskrit shloka. The students presented a song on guitar followed by a PPT, skit and a dance performance.

Krishnaleela

The school organised Krishnaleela on August 24, 2016. The students performed a skit on Krishna’s friendship with Sudama, followed by dance performance and breaking of the Dahi-Handi by forming a pyramid. The event culminated with principal apprising students on the importance of following the values given in Bhagwad Gita.

Grand Parents Day

The school celebrated Grandparent’s day on September 3, 2016. Students presented a ‘a welcome song, a skit ‘Mithas Jeewan ki’ and an endearing dance performance followed by many other activities with grandparents like riddles and balloon bursting.

A special assembly was organized in the school to celebrate Gandhi Jayanti on October 3, 2016. The assembly included narration of anecdotes and enactment of episodes from the life of Gandhiji followed by a quiz.

Ramleela Week

The schools organized Ramleela from October 5-7, 2016. The students dressed up in beautiful outfits, portrayed the different characters of the Ramayana. The week culminated with the burning of an effigy of Ravana to depict the victory of good over evil.

Diwali

The special assembly conducted on October 28, 2016 to celebrate Diwali commenced with the Ganesha and Lakshmi Aarti, followed by an informative power point presentation on Diwali. The students presented a video and skit to apprise students on the victory of good over evil.

Bal Mela

A fun and frolic Bal Mela was organised on November 5, 2016 as part of Children’s day celebrations. The teachers presented a skit, a group song and dance performance which enthralled the children. Various game, food and tattoo stalls were set up for the students.

Guru Nanak Jayanti

A special assembly was organised on November 10, 2016 to celebrate Guru Nanak Jayanti. The programme commenced with Prabhat Pheri as people took the morning round singing bhajans and finally stopping over at the place of the host for the day. Students also presented dance on a Punjabi bhajan, dedicated to Guru Nanak Dev.

Christmas

A special assembly was organised to celebrate Christmas on December 23, 2016. The festivities commenced with students presenting a video presentation on the birth of Lord Jesus, followed by a skit on the story of the birth of Jesus Christ and on Santa Claus. The students were apprised on the right way to celebrate Christmas i.e. by loving, helping and sharing.
