Amity University Jharkhand hosts its 2nd Convocation
Ranchi, 20/04/2023: Amity University Jharkhand held its 2nd Convocation with joy and fervour with the blessings of Amity University Jharkhand’s Revered Honourable Founder President, Revered President, and Chancellor on 20th April 2023.
At this grand occasion, the 2021 and 2022 batches’ graduates and postgraduates were felicitated with awards and medals in the august presence of dignitaries including their proud parents.
Dr. Atul Chauhan, Chancellor, Amity University Jharkhand focused on the value of education in the Varsity. He further advised the students to work hard, and never forget the sacrifices made by their parents.
The Sr. Vice President of Amity Education group, Mr. U. Ramachandran, gave his blessings and congratulated the students on their success and wished them all the best for future life. He expressed his happiness by informing about two new Amity Institutions to be established in the next two years in the states of Karnataka and Telangana. Mr. Gauravh Gupta, Vice President, Amity Education Group, conveyed his best wishes on this occasion.
Dr. Ashok K. Srivastava, Pro Vice Chancellor, Amity University Jharkhand, expressed his good wishes to the students. He highlighted the sacrifices made by parents, guardians, and teachers. While presenting the annual report of the university he added, Amity has set a new standard of academic excellence. Congratulating the students, he asked them to always aim high. He quoted " Success is not final, failure is not forever."
Recipient of Honorary Doctorate, Prof. (Dr.) Saurabh Varshney, Director of All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Deoghar, gave his best wishes to the fresh graduates, addressing them he spoke about the three domains of learning: Cognitive knowledge, Psycho-motor domain and to be interactive.
Mr. Girish Wagh, Executive Director, Tata Motors Limited, another Honorary Doctorate, expressed his sincere gratitude to Amity University Jharkhand. He stressed on sustainability, quoting Mahatma Gandhi, he urged the students to be the change they want to see in the society. He shared the vision of Tata Motors leaders on net zero greenhouse gas emission, preserving biodiversity and the 3R's—reduce, reuse, recycle.
The convocation ceremony was a memorable day for the graduands who received the coveted degrees, along with the assembled guests and everyone associated with the AUJ campus. A total of 818 students graduated.
The Total Medals/Award received were as many as eighteen Gold, fourteen Silver, eight Bronze, thirteen Shri Baljit Shastri and one Best All-rounder trophy and six appreciation certificates.
