Enhancing Confidence to Stay Ahead

At Amity we believe that real purpose of education is making students not only academically brilliant but also to equip students with the potential to meet everyday challenges in life.

To help students in personality development, special sessions are held on effective communication, enhancing etiquettes, interpersonal skills which are crucial to increase employment opportunities and to compete successfully in the business environment. The soft skill training provides strong practical orientation to the students and helps them in building and improving their skills in communication, the effective use of English, Business correspondence, Presentations, Team building, Leadership, Time management, Group discussions, Interviews, and Inter-personal skills etc before entering a workplace.

The methodology of this program is that ‘Knowing oneself is half the battle won.’

Military Training

Making You a True Leader

All students undergo 7-days Military cum leadership Training Camp held at Amity University Gurgaon. Students are trained by veterans of the armed forces.

Country comes before self. That's what we learn at Amity. A sense of patriotism comes into being at the Military Training Camp. Now, I have developed a stronger bond for my country and promise to dedicate myself to the nation's development.

Imbibing the Spirit of Discipline and Patriotism

At the Military Training Camps, Amity students imbibe the value of discipline and a spirit of patriotism, commitment and perseverance by participating in a variety of activities like parasailing, trekking, shooting, rock climbing/rappelling, etc. which test their mental and physical agility.

Foreign Languages

The Linguistic Advantage

Amity provides an international perspective to the students through the international language programs.

The foreign language course has been integrated into the curriculum. The students currently learn French language in all semesters as a part of their course curriculum.

Grooming for Interviews

An important part of course curriculum is preparing students to not just face interviews and group discussions with confidence but succeed in the same to the best of their abilities. The training covers key aspects like grooming our final year and pre final year students for placement process by assisting them in writing their CVs, enhancing their communication skills, preparing them and conducting Written Aptitude Tests (WAT), conducting mock interviews and group discussions and improving their overall employability

The Pre-placement Training has been extremely successful as is reflected in the exemplary placement record of the young university.

Values & Ethics

101 Attributes of an Amitian

The education framework at Amity is rooted upon certain key values and ethics. It stresses on principles such as patriotism, courage, and respect for elders. It is this sense of purpose that has led to the creation of the '101 Attributes of an Amitians'.

This booklet on the norms & guidelines explores 101 different character traits that take an individual closer to completeness. The attributes have been imbibed into the teaching activities, group activities and have been included in topics for lectures and discussions by students.

With the same end in view a well framed Amity Code of Conduct is displayed all over the campus and Behavioral Science is taught to all the students of all the courses throughout the University. These classes include community service and giving back to the society.

Counselling

Expert Personal & Professional Advice

At Amity, we offer expert counselling and professional advice to help students deal with exam stress, student having or showing emotional needs, symptoms of stress or depression and concentrate well on their studies in order to build successful careers. We have trained counsellors who are available to help the students understand and overcome their problems, be it health, emotional or related to academics.

Our faculty is also highly approachable. They are trained to decide whether a student needs to seek professional counselling and advise the same.

Mentor-Mentee System

Guidance and Care At Everystep

At Amity we have a unique concept which is known as "Mentor-Mentee" program. Each faculty member is assigned a group of students to counsel them on their academic and personal concerns.

These students are with the assigned faculty till the time they pass out of the university and by this time they have built a very strong relation with each other.

The objective of the Mentor-Mentee program is to encourage the students to discuss and share their problems and difficulties with their Mentors, which maybe both personal and academic and help them boost their self- confidence and esteem. The mentor can, by this way keep a track of the students' progress.

Student Focused Research Scheme

At Amity to promote research among students a research model 'PEARL Scheme - Peer Encouraged Assistive Research Learning Scheme', has been introduced where one student from each year come together and work on a project of environmental, societal and industrial relevance under one/two faculty members. At the end of each semester, a university level inter-group competition and other review mechanisms are adopted to evaluate their progress and encourage them to pursue their work further. The successful involvement of students encourages them to successfully participate in prestigious conferences, apply for patents, publications, and funding as well.

Amiphoria – An annual fest of Amity where one can perform and participate in many activities like dance, music, coding, play etc.

Talent Hunt

Sangathan – To promote healthy competition and team spirit amongst the students, a sports fest is conducted by Amity University every year. In Sangathan, various departments of Amity University Jharkhand compete with each other. The winning teams are rewarded with medals and certificates. Students who perform well in Sangathan get a chance to compete in the Inter Amity Sangathan held at Amity Noida.

Students Clubs- Various Student clubs at institute level promote the shaping of skills of the students and make them truly life-ready.
