Amity University, Jharkhand host Management Development Programme on Self-Motivation and Mindfulness

Ranchi, 29/04/2022: Amity Business School of Amity University, Jharkhand organized ‘Management Development Programme (MDP) on Self-Motivation and Mindfulness’ for the staff of Citizens Foundation, Ranchi in its campus premises at state capital on Friday.
Addressing the guests and participants, Prof. (Dr.) Raman Kumar Jha, Vice Chancellor, Amity University, Jharkhand, highlighted the terms ‘Self’, ‘Mind’ and ‘Thought’.
“Body, mind, and soul are something correlated. Body leaves according to Hindu scriptures but we don’t leave this world.,” he said, explaining thought and emotional levels as well as skills.
“We also change in the present birth and carry forward some transformations from our previous births. Death is a reality which is just an interval,” he added, referring to internal and external realities. “Our mind is more disturbed and confused by external realities. Accept the things as it is and sharpen yourself. Live in present instead of thinking of past or future,” he quoted.
Welcoming the audience, Prof. (Dr.) Ajit Kumar Pandey, Director, Amity University, Jharkhand said, “Self-motivation and mindfulness are something which everyone wishes to practice. No one can be the best motivator than ourselves to excel in the field we want.”
He mentioned the motivation of ant which carries the sugar ball equivalent to its size and moves in queue with other ants. Similarly, birds creating their own nest are motivated by their needs which propel them to do something. Miracles are seen because of self-motivation. “The synchronization of thought process governs our actions. And our actions governed gives us the result,” he added.
Encouraging the participants, he compared the leadership skills of Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russia’s President Vladimir Putin. He also spoke of Eklavya, the known disciple in Mahabharata. “Strata should be defined by what we are doing. To be motivated you need to have the courage, confidence, and zeal. Keep your mind in sync with what you desire,” he stressed.

Mr. Prabhakar Tripathi, Registrar, Amity University, Jharkhand conveyed his blessings on this occasion.
