 Amity University Jharkhand Inaugurated a 'Three-Day Youth workshop on Gender Justice and Equality'  

 

Ranchi 20.04.22- Amity Law School, Ranchi under the aegis of Amity University Jharkhand in association with Association for Advocacy and Legal Initiatives (AALI) organized a three-day youth workshop on ‘Gender Justice and Equality' 

 

 

Chief guest Mr. Manish Kumar Mishra, Under Secretary, JHALSA had an interactive session with students, regarding legal aid. He discussed about article 39 A, which deals with the provisions of equal justice and free legal aid to the poor and weaker sections of society and ensures justice.

 

He then talked about legal services, connected articles with them, section 12 of legal service authorities act, 1987 its eligibility and criteria and added about NALSA and JHALSA.

 

Ms. Reshma Singh, State Coordinator for Association for Advocacy and Legal Initiatives (AALI) talked about Power and Patriarchy said, “AALI has been formed and has been working in different states, it provides technical support to various Women Rights Organizations and groups across India. She gave an examples of how society has influenced individuals to bring about behavioral changes within them.

 

Prof. (Dr.) Ajit Kumar Pandey, Director, Amity University Jharkhand expressed his notion about the marginal section of the society. He said, “They are guaranteed justice and they have capability to get the justice. Even though they are subjected to various sort of exploitation, they are not seeking justice.”

 

The workshop was ended with the vote of thanks given by the convener of the event Mr. Asish Kumar, Assistant Professor, Amity University Jharkhand.
