Amity University Jharkhand’s R&D Cell Organized a 5-Day Faculty Development Programme on Research Skill Enhancement

 
Research and Development Cell of Amity University Jharkhand, Ranchi started a Five-day Long Online Faculty Development Program (FDP) on ‘Research Skill Enhancement’ for the Faculty Members from 21st June' 2021 to enhance the skills in Research and Pedagogy Tools. The key speaker on the first day of the FDP was Dr. Amit Bhattacharya, Principal Scientist at CSIR- Central Salt and Marine Chemicals Research Institute, Bhavnagar, Gujrat, India. The topic for first day FDP program was ‘How to write an Effective Research Grant’. Dr. Bhattacharya has explained different aspects of writing a good project proposal for securing grants. He mentioned that most proposals end in rejection, but missteps give researchers a chance to learn how to find other opportunities, write better proposals and navigate the system. Taking time to learn from the setbacks and successes of others can help to increase the chances of securing funds.
 
Dr. Amit Bhattacharya, also explained about Resume, which is a French word meaning ‘Summary’ meant for showcasing one’s educational details and skill sets when applying for a job, having a maximum of 1 or 2 pages; C.V. and then concluded with Bio data, elucidating the differences between them. At last, he also added, “We can win anything if we have confidence’.
The event concluded with Amity University Jharkhand members thanking all the proactive participants for such fruitful event. The first session of FDP was attended by more than 100 participants from India and abroad. The session was chaired by Prof. (Dr.) Raman Kumar Jha, Vice Chancellor, Amity University Jharkhand, Prof. (Dr.) Ajit Kumar Pandey, Director, Amity University Jharkhand and Mr. Prabhakar Tripathi, Registrar, Amity University, Jharkhand. The session was a great success and fruitful to all the participants.
