Amity University Jharkhand organized a Poetry Recitation Competition: “The Word Weavers”
Amity University Jharkhand organized a Poetry Recitation Competition: “The Word Weavers” on 15th May 2021. The event was on the theme of the current outbreak of Corona pandemic because it is believed that in these difficult times, poetic, rhythmic lines can help the people to gain new perspective to forget the lamentable moments and focus on rays of hope.
The occasion was graced by the presence of dignitaries Prof.(Dr.) Raman Kumar Jha, Vice Chancellor, Amity University Jharkhand, Professor (Dr.) Ajit Kumar Pandey, Director, Amity University Jharkhand, Mr. Prabhakar Tripathi, Registrar, Amity University Jharkhand and the whole Amity family welcomed the Chief Guest and Judge of the event Professor (Dr.) B.P. Sinha, Former Dean of Languages, Central University Jharkhand.
The Vice Chancellor, Amity University Jharkhand, addressed the audience and said that this Poetry Competition is a great way of showcasing creativity which strengthens the inner soul. He called it a courageous step because organizing such an event at this time is an example that no adversity can dampen our creative and literary skills. He added that we could serve our society not only financially but also emotionally and such events contribute to add value to the society.
The event continued with the competition and after the recitations of brilliant poems, it was taken further by the Chief Guest who announced the results and said that we need to express ourselves during this time and appreciated the students saying that he was “stunned by the intellect of the students”. He also added, “When all the other Universities are sleeping, your University is active in organizing such wonderful events.”
Finally, the Vice Chancellor, Amity University Jharkhand concluded the event by reciting his poem "Jo hum ekhote ,To hote sab eksaath"which gave the message that unity and motivating each other is the real strength to fight the COVID pandemic situation, and boost up the energy level. He also thanked all the proactive participants, organizer and Chief Guest for the wonderful and fruitful event.
