NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY CELEBRATION AT AMITY UNIVERSITY JHARKHAND
National Science Day 2021 was organized by Amity University Jharkhand on March 1st, 2021. The event was based on the theme Future of STI: Impacts of Education, Skills and Work.
The programme started with virtual Saraswati Vandana followed by welcome address by Dr. Amit Kumar Dutta, Convenor, National Science Day 2021, Amity University Jharkhand. Prof. Dr. Raman Kumar Jha, Vice-Chancellor, Amity University Jharkhand addressed the gatherings on the importance of National Science Day. Prof. Dr.Ajit Kumar Pandey, Director, AUJ and Shri Prabhakar Tripathi, Registrar, AUJ gave their blessings to the participants and encouraged the team for organizing the event.
The Chief Guest Prof. Dr.Debasis Chakrabarty, Sr. Principal Scientist, NBRI-CSRI, Lucknow, said“You don’t need to be a very good science student to do something, one need to have passion for it”. Then the event was embellished with the invited talk of Prof. Dr.Narayanan Ganesh, Sr. Scientist & Head, Dept. of Research, JLN Cancer Hospital & Research Centre, Bhopal on the topic Innovation in Tumor Research and by Prof. Dr.GBKS Prasad, Professor, Jiwaji University, Gwalior on the topic of Role of Skill Development in Implementation of NEP 2020-21
Further, Prof. Dr.Mithun Chakraborty, Prof.& UC, AUJ; Dr. Biswarup Samanta, PC-EAS, AUJ and Dr. Jayeeta Chattopadhyay, University Research Coordinator, AUJ graced the occasion.
The students shared their views on the occasion of National Science Day. The event was successfully closed with concluding remarks by Dr. SmitaPati, Co- convenor of this event and Vote of thanks was given by Dr. Shovona Choudhury, University Coordinator-Institutional Innovation Cell, Amity University Jharkhand, Ranchi.
