Student Achievements

The following design based innovative projects are developed by students:

  • Design & fabrication of zero turning radius vehicle
  • ISo-Elastic Arm
  • Design & fabrication of CNC Milling machine for Non-Metallic Materials
  • Design & fabrication of multi featured smart iron
  • Automatic Drain Filteration Machine
  • Solar car

A team of 10 students designed and developed SAE Efficycle and successfully cleared technical inspection test, design test, innovative design, motor test, marketing analysis in SAE Efficycle 2014 at Chandigarh.

Total 5 Patents are filed by students of MAE.

A team of 25 students participated in Supra SAE 2014 and stood 3rd rank in AUTOCROSS round

Students of B.Tech. MAE designed and developed a Go-Kart and participated in the Elite Karting 2014 event.

ASME Amity Student Section and ASHRAE chapter formed and workshop and seminars organized.

A national seminar on Gas Turbine Technology was organized on 10 April 2015 by ASME-Amity. More than 120 students from outside colleges participated in the seminar.

6 students have gone for Study Abroad Programme at Amity University, London.

4 students of M.Tech. (Automobile Engg.) and B.Tech.(MAE) + M.Tech. (Auto Engg.) have completed their dissertation at NUUA, China.

Rajat Tiwari, student of B.Tech (MAE) 2012-16 batch participated in National Shooting Championship and qualify successfully.

Many of our students appeared for SSB this year. Ms Tavishi Singh cleared all the rounds successfully and got selected.

Mr. Pulkit Arun Sidana, Mr. Himanshu Kapoor and Prudhvi, Rayudu have got admission offer from 4 universities and Mr. Pulkit Sidana also got scholarship of $7000 per year from New York University.

One of our student Mr. Shreyance Duggar qualified CAT 2014 and scored 98.36%.

Mr. Manik Luthra, student of B.Tech. (MAE), IV semester secured second place in Chess, Ranbhoomi 2015 at Indian Institute of Management, Indore.

The Pit Assigned to Team No. 1: Amity Racing at SAE SUPRA 2014

Amity Racing Team with Faculty Guide at SAE Supra 2014 Inaugural

The SUPRA SAE INDIA 2014 is a competition which presents the Under Graduate and Post Graduate Engineering Students the task of designing, modeling and fabricating a formula type racing car. This event provides a real world engineering challenge for the SAEINDIA Student members that reflect the steps involved in the entire process from design, simulation, analysis and fabrication to marketing.

Students of MAE department of amity university participated in SUPRA SAEINDIA 2014 racing in Sep.2013 at Bhubaneshwar, India. It has been a lifetime experience for the students of AMITY RACING TEAM. Amity Racing Team secured 18th position out of 162 competitors in the design competition held at Bhubaneswar in Sep. 2013 and overall ranking for finals is yet to be uploaded by SAE INDIA.

Students participation in India International Science Festival (IISF-2024)

Students of our Department got the opportunity to visit India International Science festival (IISF’23) organized by DBT THSTI-RCB campus. During visit at IISF'24 students got an exposure to see the work that has been going on around in different universities and government organisations from all over the India.  In this event they interacted with various members of Indian organisations such as ISRO, DRDO, CSIR and DST to understand novel and innovative research ongoing at their research organization. 1. Interaction with delegates of “Institute of advanced study in science and technology”. Researchers are working on enhancing anticorrosion properties of copper alloys using RF-plasma technology by coating HDMSO and Polystyrene. 2. Interaction with DRDO delegates and students got to know about various hand-held kits that are produced specifically for our Indian army. 3. Research group at CSIR-NPL developed security ink to identify fake passports and counterfeit currency based on fluorescent and phosphorescent materials. 4. Interaction with MSME/ Startup such as M/S Notion Technocrats India Private Limited, Ahmedabad, Nikol EV “Electrifying future”, Pune, Maharashtra and Tanna Techbiz, Gujarat.

Sports (starting minimum Zonal Level)

  7. TECO Technology Foundation, Taiwan organised an international competition on green technology titled "TECO GREEN TECH CONTEST" held on August 28, 2012. Team from Amity University comprised of four students-Gurbinder Singh Gill & Ankit Tyagi (Mechanical and Automation engineering), Kshitij Chopra (Electronics and Communication engineering) and Paritosh Saini (Solar and Renewable engineering) under the guidance of Dr Abhishek Verma, Professor, Amity University. Amity team presented a working model on "Generation of Clean Energy using Ferromagnetic fluid" which won the "Best Originality Award" for being the most innovative carbon reduction product with a cash prize of 20,000 NTD.

SAE collegiate club of ASET Noida, Team- Infinity, Mechanical Engineering Department, ASET, AUUP participated in Formula Bharat 2022.

On the auspicious occasion of 73rd Republic Day 2022 Piyush Aneejwal B.Tech (Mechanical Engineering) 3rd Year organized a Drone Airshow at MLV Textile and Engineering College Bhilwara, Rajasthan along with RC Rajasthan.
